Apricot Brochettes With Lavender

  • 8 ounces apricots
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 8 lavender branches
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseeds
  • A few lavender seeds

    Gently clean the lavender branches under cold water and then pat dry them. Divide the apricot halves among them to prepare the brochettes and set aside. Heat up the grill.

    Heat the olive oil, honey, a few lavender seeds, and lemon juice in the microwave until melted. Brush the mixture over the apricots. Grill until golden brown. Transfer to a serving platter, sprinkle the flaxseeds, and serve immediately.

    Option: Serve with Greek yogurt, low-fat ice cream, or your favorite frozen yogurt

    Makes 4 servings.
